Monthly Recap

Hi guys, how is it going? I hope everything is going great in your life and you all are having a wonderful weekend. I just got back from Bali a few days ago attending the wedding (the one I talked about) and had a little vacation with my husband afterward. The wedding was fantastic and we all had an awesome time. I wish we could’ve had a few more days there but I enjoyed it. We are planning to go back next year with our big family, so fingers crossed.

I’m also planning on going back to school next year in early February. I’m a graduate student in Applied English Linguistics and hopefully can finish it by middle of 2019. Blogging will be a little bit challenging but I’m determined to make everything works.

It has been a while since the last time I did a Monthly Recap. November was not as great as I hoped it would be, reading-wise, but I enjoyed two books, one of which left a huge impact on me that I hope everyone will give a try. Please, check them out if you haven’t yet.

Bali sounds like a great trip! I am glad you had a nice time. Congrats on going back to school. I am sure that you will figure out how to balance everything. Have a great December!

  5. Bali! Amazing! I’m glad you had an awesome time and I’m glad that Mount Agung didn’t cause you guys any issues (it didn’t, right?).

Wow, back to school! Congrats and I’m sure you will find a balance.

Hope you have a wonderful reading week this week.

    • Yeah, it was a miracle that it was sleeping when we were there. All of us were SO worried but it turned out everything was not as bad as we thought it would be. The weather was great. We couldn’t even see the mount since it was SO far away from where we stayed and from the places tourists usually come to. So, everything was great.

Thank you so much, Di. I hope you have a wonderful week, my friend. ❤️😁

    • I did have a great vacation. The wedding went smoothly and better than we expected. I hope you have a wonderful week, Anna. ❤️😁

  6. Good luck with grad school! I do not miss those days. So much work! But going to Bali for a wedding sounds totally awesome!! You had a great reading month too so yay for that!

  7. Bali sounds so nice. I hope you get to go back next year. I have had some challenges this year with blogging but eventually you hit a groove and can make it work. Good luck in school next year, that is great that you are going back. I went back a few years ago but always try to learn new stuff along the way.

I hope you have an amazing week Geybie! Happy Reading! ox

  8. Yay for Bali. I was there earlier in November and had a wonderful time too. Need to see more too. Good luck with grad school. The Hookup cover is eye catching. I’ll have to check it out.

    • Yay, glad you had a wonderful time while being there. Oh I’ve missed it already. Hehe.. one week in Bali isn’t enough. I hope you have a wonderful week. Oh The Hookup is my most anticipated release. Can’t wait for it. ❤️😁

  9. It’s a busy old time of year, what with one thing and another. What a lovely trip – Bali:)). It sounds absolutely wonderful and I hope you manage to get back there next year. All the very best with your course – Applied English Linguistics sounds fascinating:).

    • Yeah it’s fascinating and challenging, too, especially with a blog to take care of. Thank you, Sarah. I hope you have a wonderful week. ❤️😁

  10. Bali sounds like so much fun! I love a good destination wedding. It can be hard to juggle life and blogging. I’ve gone months (and months) where I only posted once a week. Life has to come first. Happy reading!

    • Yeah, I know it will be challenging. I’m planning to make things work. We’ll see if I make it. Anyway, I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books. Happy reading. ❤️😁

  11. OMG Bali! Lucky you! I’m glad you had a wonderful time there. I’m so excited to see you have Roomies in your TBR. That’s one of my favorite books of the year. I enjoyed Man Hands, but there was one thing that annoyed/amused me haha. I’ll let you discover what that is for yourself. I’m sure you’ll be able to tell immediately.
Have a good week, Geybie! 🙂

    • I finished Man Hands last week. Yeah, I know what you meant. Haha.. I had a love hate relationship with that book. 🙈
      I enjoyed the writing, though.
Yay for Roomies. I’m loving it so far. Almost finish it. Glad that you loved it too. ❤️😁
      Have a wonderful week.

  12. Oh wow! Sounds like a fun month with Bali and a vacation with your husband! I can see why you didn’t read as much as you wanted but it sounds like for good reasons! Good luck with school starting back! Have a great week!

    • I know it’s hard to read when you’re on vacation. I brought my laptop, iPad, kindle, everything. Thinking that I would get to do much reading and blogging. OMG, I ended up doing nothing. 🙈😁

  14. Wow! A trip to Bali. That sounds amazing. Congrats on going back to school. I am sure you will make it work, even if you have to take some blog breaks. Have a lovely week.

  17. Glad to hear that you had a wonderful vacation, it’s always nice to get away with the hubby 🙂 Congrats on going back to school. Have a wonderful week.

  18. My cousin has a jewelry line called Bali, and he visits there all the time for “inspiration”. The pictures he has show me are stunning. Maybe someday I will get to see it for real. How exciting! Good luck in graduate school. I need to get Roomies. All I keep hearing is raves.

    • I hope you’ll to come Bali one day. It is a paradise. Oh, thank you. I hope you’ll give Roomies a try one day. It’s great. 😁❤️👍🏻

  19. So glad you enjoyed your trip and that the wedding was lovely. I don’t read many Rock Star stories but I still need to peek at some of the earlier recommendation lists. You’ve got a nice handful of new books. Happy Reading!
