8 Books that Have Stayed with Me for YEARS

These books have stayed with me for years. I haven’t reviewed some of them because I’d read them way before I started blogging. I’m planning to reread each of them in the near future. Each of these stories moved me in a way that I have never forgotten and will never do. You might have read or heard about these books; however, if you haven’t read some of these books, I do highly RECOMMEND them to you. The Bronze Horseman series – Amazing epic love story.    I have never cried harder over a book. This series is SO beautiful […]

5 Reasons Why I Don’t Judge Books by Their Covers

First of all, let me tell you that I LOVE book covers. This piece of writing does not mean to say that I don’t like book covers. Not at all. I enjoy looking at them and even lusting after gorgeous male models and hot couples on covers MANY TIMES. It is not just about the male models but the combination of colors in a cover that pleases my eyes, especially if the cover really represents the genre and theme of the book. You might instantly know what you are going to get out of a book only by looking at […]

Jackie Phillips is a twenty-five-year-old, single mother with a seven-year-old son who has […]

Things that Make Me WANT & NOT WANT to Read a Book

This is an interesting topic to share not only what kinds of books I love but a little bit about myself as well. What are the things that make me want to read a book and discourage me from reading it? I’ve been thinking about this topic in the last week and, interestingly, I’ve kind of gotten to know myself better in the process: be honest about what I love and embrace it. Some of you may already have a  glimpse of what I love in books from the lists of books that I’ve read, enjoyed, and reviewed on this […]

Each book gets better and this book is one of my favorites in the series. Even though Damnable Grace is part of a series, you can read this as a complete standalone. It will definitely be better if you read them in order since each story is interconnected. What is the story about? Even the broken, through love, can find grace. Sister Phebe has […]

Book Review – Written In Red (The Others #1) by Anne Bishop

Genres: Adult, Urban Fantasy Standalone/Series: Series Published on: March 5, 2013 Pages: 514 POV: Third person POV Source: gifted Rating: 4 STARS Buy on Amazon It has been a while since I read a great urban fantasy. I had been a contemporary romance reader for the past two years, therefore, reading a different genre that was a total opposite needed some getting used to. It took me a while to finish this book. The reasons for it are, first, it is a very long book (I am a slow reader), and, second is I needed the time to understand the world in this story, which was completely […]

What is the story about? It follows a young woman named Mandy who has had a tough […]
