Hi, guys… I’ve decided to make a new weekly post here on Geybie’s Book Blog. So, since I started blogging, one thing I’ve always loved.. visiting other bloggers and looking for new book recommendations–specific themes I’m in the mood for at the moment. I’ve thought about doing this post for a while, first to help myself and hopefully can help others who are looking for the same kinds of books. I want this to be a weekly post.
Please share your recommendations in the comments below and I will add them to this post with your name and links.
Please check out the other posts if you haven’t yet:
So, this week, I’m in the mood for romantic suspense books. I’ve read some great ones in the past and loved them. The ones I’ve read, loved, and highly recommend are:
What are your favorites? 😀
Renee at Addicted To Romance: I have been wondering about Decklan….since I have heard some great things. I do love romantic suspense though. My favorite authors are Suzanne Brockmann, M.L. Buchman, Kira Brady and Cherry Adair and Christine Feehan. I love the idea of sharing recommendations.
Samantha at The Book Disciple: Oh girl you know I love romantic suspense! You need to check out Cynthia Eden!! Also, check out The Devils Daughter and The Hunting Grounds by Katee Robert (not so much focus on romance, but still very good!). Katie Reus Red Stone Security is great as well. Janie Crouch has some great ones as well! Till Death by Jennifer L Armentrout is great! The Wanted Men series by Nancy Haviland is pretty good as well. Seriously, I could go on for days, but Cynthia Eden and Katie Reus are my go tos!
Martha at Reviews By Martha’s Bookshelf: I have read Katie Reus but not the others. I do like contemporary authors Katie Ruggle – the Search and Rescue series; Piper J. Drake – True Heroes; and M.L. Buchman – The Night Stalkers. Several “older” favorites are Dee Davis, Merline Lovelace, and Mary Burton. And two Christian authors of Romantic Suspense: Margaret Daley – Texas Rangers and Ronnie Kendig – The Quiet Professionals. There are others but these are the first that came to mind. 🙂
This is a great feature idea. Thanks for sharing it.
Alyssa Susanna at The Eater Of Books: I was going to recommend The Devil’s Daughter but I see it there! HelenKay Dimon has some good ones. The Fixer, The Enforcer. Till Death by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Tessa Bailey’s Crossing the Line series (Raw Redemption, etc.). I think Mine by HelenKay Dimon might be considered romantic suspense, though maybe it’s more of a romantic thriller. I LOVED that book. I feel like I’m missing some! I adore romantic suspense.
Di at Book Reviews By Di: Oh! Great idea! I love it! I haven’t really read anything romantic suspense in YEARS but one series that I did love long back was an old Loveswept series by Iris Johansen – the Sedikhan series. It’s light and fluffy and romantic and yet still enough suspense plot to get me by. Also, I loved that these books all built upon a larger plot and set of characters.
- Laura Griffin- Tracers series.
- Cate Beauman – Bodyguards of L.A. County.
- Sheila Kell – H.I.S series.
- Lena Diaz.
Ragordon2017: One of my favorite authors is Brenda Jackson; most of her romance novels also include an element of suspense.
Silvia at Darkest Sins: Oohh, I like this feature! Will check the ones you listed so far, and I’d personally suggest the Redemption series by Molly McAdams! It’s dark, Geybie, I think you could really enjoy it 😉 I’m eagerly waiting for the third installment to be released! Also, I only read the first installment in The Sons of Steel Row series by Jen McLaughlin, but I can tell you I loved Dare To Run. A criminal and a feisty bartender, need I say more? Hehe, enjoy! – OH, I’m SO curious! 😉
Christy at Christy’s Love of Books: I haven’t read any of these. I actually don’t read a lot of this genre, but I do like it. Of course, I recommend K.A. Tucker’s books. Oh! Have you read You by Caroline Kapnes? It isn’t your typical romantic suspense. It’s… different. But AMAZING!
Lexxie at (Un)Conventional Bookviews: I love romantic suspense! I can recommend the following:
- Rebecca Zanetti – I loved her Sin Brothers series, her Realm Protectors series and her Blood Brothers series. Plus, her Scorpio Syndrome series; which is also a pretty dark dystopian.
- Under Fire by Scarlett Cole, plus her whole Second Circle Tattoo series.
- The Marked Men and the Saints of Denver series by Jay Crownover.
- Colorado Mountain series and ‘Burg series by Kristen Ashley.
- Ultimate series and Body Armor series by Lori Foster.
- The Mister series by JA Huss!
Renee at Addicted To Romance: For Brockmann…it’s The Troubleshooters. Christine Feehan is the Ghostwalker, Drake Sisters, and Sisters of The Heart series. The Drake sisters and Sisters of the Heart are connected. Then for Kira Brady it’s the Deadglass trilogy, for M.L. Buchman it’s the Night Stalkers series, and Cherry Adair is the Cutter Cay series.
Anna at Herding Cats & Burning Soup: Romantic Suspense was my go to years ago. Rebecca Zanetti is amazing and I really enjoyed the early KGI books from Maya Banks. Not so much the recent ones but those early ones were so good!
