GBB Weekly Recap

Hello, my beautiful friends. I hope you are enjoying your weekends and having a great time with families. I didn’t feel well last week but am feeling better. I’ve been saddened by the Las Vegas shooting news as well and have since been in a somber mood. My love and prayers are with the families of the Las Vegas victims, and those who are injured. I cannot imagine how the families are feeling right now, losing their loved ones suddenly and unexpectedly. God be with them. If you have families or know someone who has been a victim, I am so sorry, guys. πŸ™

Blogging-wise, I would likeΒ to be more consistent. I want to have a strict schedule for my weekly features and reviews to make it easier for my readers to follow the posts. In additionΒ to the blog posts, I”m currently concentrating on the graphics. As you might have noticed, I have changed the header and the weekly feature graphics. I’m focusing on creating better graphics and improving the quality of myΒ InstagramΒ pictures. That is all from me. I would like to hear what your goals are for this week. 😁

Last week on the blog:

The Clover Chapel by Devney Perry

Recommend Me Books:

Thank you so much, guys. I can’t believe we have 11 posts so far. Check them out if you haven’t yet. I’m currently working on the latest one and will post it right away after I finish.

It is finally LIVE! Check out the new Recommend Me Books and this time we are talking about New Adult (College Romance). Are you a huge fan of this genre? Please share your favorites. πŸ˜€

New Adult (College Romance)

What I am currently reading and planning to read (new books):

Without Merit by Colleen Hoover finally arrived on my Kindle and I cannot wait to start it. It is a little bit pricey for my book budget but I’m a huge fan of Colleen’s so… I also purchased The Choices I’ve Made by J.L. Berg. I love the sound of it and since I’m still in the mood for second chance romance I decided to buy it.

The Link-Up:

I’m linking up toΒ The Sunday PostΒ atΒ Caffeinated Book Reviewer,Β Stacking The ShelvesΒ byΒ Team Tynga’s Reviews,Β Mailbox Monday, andΒ Book Date.

I’m a fulltime reader who can’t live without books especially romance novels. In addition to books, I love animals, music, and dance shows. I hope you find your next read through my reviews and lists of recommendations. You can recommend me your favorites as well by leaving a comment on my ‘Recommend Me Books’ posts or check them out for awesome recommendations.

I like the new look! And you’re doing great with the Recommend Me feature- there are so many of them now. What a cool resource for finding books.

Without Merit seems to be around a lot, hope it’s a good one!

  2. Your blog looks pretty. Isn’t it fun to tweak and learn? I am OCD, so I naturally have a set schedule. I tried 3xs to scheduled a Nonna’s Corner on a Tuesday instead of Wednesday and dang it, nope it has to be Wednesday because it is always on a Weds.

    • Hahaha… Your blog looks well-organized though. It’s awesome. I’m not only a moody reader but a moody blogger as well. πŸ™ˆπŸ˜

  3. Your header looks great πŸ™‚ I love that it’s relatively simple and easy to navigate.

I need to be more consistent with my blogging too, it’s all over the place at the moment!

    Have a great week!

  4. Your new header looks great. I love it!!
The Las Vegas shooting is definitely horrible. There are some crazy people out there.
Have a great week and happy reading!

  5. I like the new look! I am always trying to get better about images and instagram, but I have NO eye for pictures and such. I have never been artistic. Oh well!
I am off to add to your New Adult recommend me because I LOVE that genre!

  6. I’m glad you’re feeling better this week! I know exactly what you mean about the mood – I’ve been feeling really weird all week and I can’t imagine how those affected are feeling. :/ I’m bad about consistency lately too! I hope you’re able to set a better schedule that you can stick to! The Choices I’ve Made looks soooo good! I hope you love it! Have a great week πŸ˜€

    Here’s my Weekly Recap!

  7. I noticed your header right away. I didn’t know it was new, but my first though landing here was about how pretty it looked!

The Clover Chapel looks really good. I will have to check out your Recommend Me links – what a cool idea.

And that shooting. What a heartbreaking tragedy. πŸ™

  8. Beware Of The Reader

Well I love your graphics and I know it takes A LOT of time to work on them Geybie! I also worked backstage yesterday to fix a glitch that was preventing me from showing on WP reader for months now!!! It took many hours and my hubby’s help but it worked. I will still work behind the scened for days so you’re not the only inconsistent one πŸ˜‰

      • Beware Of The Reader

I will write a document and send it via Facebook as Corina and TJ have the same problem! Are you on FB? I will befriend you and send it via messenger.

    • Thank you. Coho’s writing never disappoints me. I know I will be in a great journey. I hope you give it a try too. Happy reading, my friend. ❀️😁

  9. I don’t really have goals but I hope my desire to write reviews comes back to me one day lol

I got out my reading slump but the blogging one is still kind of there.

And schedules can go either way with me. They can motivate me or stress me out lol

Good luck with yours. Things are looking very nice here!

Is it too much to ask for a fantasy-romance hero who’s not over the top and controlling?

    • Hehe. Of course it’s not. 😁
Don’t force if you don’t feel like blogging or write anything. Or, you can write other topics that aren’t book related. It’ll help you get back. I’ve heard many have done it. Some even decide to rebrand the blog. They help boost up their blogging energy. 😁

The Vegas shooting has been so heartbreaking. My heart goes out to anyone touched by it. I like the new graphics. Very nice. Enjoy all of your new books and have a great week!

  11. Loving your new graphics. Yes the Las Vegas shooting has shocked us outside the U.S. as well. What a horror real live story – feels right off the pages of a horror story.

  12. Pussreboots

I’ve stalled on updating the images for my older posts. I do still want to go through and redo them all as well as clean up the code for those posts. Right now, though, I still have to focus on the house. Come see what I’m reading

  13. I love the new graphics Geybie! I keep thinking about creating a schedule but then I worry about getting bored or feeling too much pressure to stick to it. I like freedom to post what ever and when ever I want. I can see how maybe making a schedule for your readers would be nice.
Good luck with scheduling anyways. I hope it works for you.
I have been seeing Without Merit everywhere. I have yet to read a review for it. I have only read 1 Colleen Hoover book and it convinced me that all the hype is completely warrented. She is a great writer.
Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

    • I’ve been struggling with it for a while, Karen, because I love freedom. But my latest book news has kinda lost identity now. Sometimes it’s on Tuesday, sometimes, Friday, sometimes Saturday. A blogging friend then gave me an advice to schedule it to one particular day. It made then me thinking to at least to make some posts stick to certain days. I’m still not sure it’ll work though since my schedule is crazy these weeks πŸ™ˆ but I’ll try to commit. 😁

    • Ohh you need to give one of her books a try, Mary. She’s an awesome author. πŸ˜β€οΈπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

  14. I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of Without Merit. I’ve been wanting to get it but it’s a little out of my price range right now lol. πŸ™‚

    • Yes, it’s a little pricey for me too, Jackie. I purchased it because I’m a huge fan of the author. I usually buy ebooks not more than 5 dollars. This is a rare exception. 😁

  15. I think your new look turned out great! I am terrible with graphics. It’s probably something I should spend more time learning about. I hope you enjoy your new books! I haven’t read anything by Hoover before. Have a great week!

    • Thank you. Oh I’m not really good with graphics too. I’m still learning but it’s been challenging so far. Anyway, have a wonderful week too. 😁❀️

  16. Having a set blog schedule and a calendar makes blogging so much easier. I used to fly by the seat of my pants, and that just doesn’t work. If you have a set schedule, it becomes less stressful.

  17. Interesting new reads. I know a lot of people loved the new Hoover book. Hope you enjoy them. I kept wondering if I was going crazy or if your headers have been changing… I think it’s cute πŸ˜€

    • Yes, I’ve changed it. It’s quite different from the old one but you know me. I’m moody. I love your new header too. It’s brilliant!!! So creative. πŸ˜β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

  18. The new header is looking good – Although I always liked the cherry flowers too. I’m seeing the Without Merit title popping up at blogs this week. I still wish I had more time to add to your recommend posts. I’ll get there someday.
    Happy Reading!

  19. amynikitawords

I LOVE the new design! It’s so attractive and clean 😍😍

Good luck with the whole revamp of images, etc. If you need a place to get free beautiful graphics, I highly recommend Pixabay or Canva. And Canva is an amazing place to design images, too – if you’re looking for that.

Hope you enjoy Without Merit πŸ™‚ ❀❀

  20. I love the new header! So bright and clean! I try to be consistent and I have all these ideas for different features but in the end I’m using in a panic and stuff gets forgotten. One day I’ll be more organized! Or at least that’s what I tell myself. Have a great week!

    • Haha… ohh same here. It’s been a struggle. I hope I can do it at least this week. We’ll see. πŸ˜†
      Thank you, Katherine.

  21. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

Oh my heart goes to those in Vegas as well. Terrible thing. Looks like you have lots of great plans. I know I started setting a schedule for myself, just to keep my head straight with life and everything. lol. Hope you have a great week!

  22. I love all the new graphics and the overall look of the blog! It’s awesome! And consistency is probably something I’d like to focus on too….right after I catch up… Although for me catching up on blogging is like saying “one more chapter”. πŸ˜‚ I guess I’ll just plug along as and when I can and enjoy the heck out of my hobby!

I hope you have been having a great week this week and enjoying your reads! Catch up this weekend!

    • Thank you, Di. I manage to post my weekly posts as scheduled but keeping up with blogging is still a struggle. Haha… You’re not alone.
