GBB Weekly Recap

Hi, everybody, how are you? I hope you are having an awesome weekend. Can’t wait to hear about your week. My week was great, reading and personal-wise. I spent my free time reading and thinking of ideas for the blog discussions. It was very quiet yet productive. Besides reading, I watched youtube videos and listened to podcasts. Some videos from the terminal cancer patients really touched my heart.

Their videos really touched my heart. I admired their strengths to want to be an inspiration in the midst of fears and uncertainty. I know it’s hard for them to do that, but their smile, positivity, and enthusiasm towards life were contagious and inspiring. Guys, I couldn’t say how many times I cried and smiled. They’ve touched my heart and reminded me to celebrate life and stop complaining about something unnecessary, and choose to do the things I love more. Live life to the fullest.

Creating this blog is one of the ways I did to live my life to the fullest. Reading stories is one of my passions that has broughtΒ SO much joy to me. Meeting and talking to you, fellow book junkies, really makes my day. I hope you all have a wonderful day and even though I don’t know what your problems are, I hopeΒ you find a reason or choose to be happy. Have a wonderful weekend. πŸ˜€

That is inspiring, and nice of you to pass along the sentiment. πŸ™‚ We really do need to live life to the fullest, so true. Hope your weekend is filled with great things, and lots of reading too!

    Have a great week ahead!

  2. Yeah, the book blog is indeed one of the ways to make your life worth it πŸ™‚ even though it’s so much work! My blogoversary is coming up next week! So excited! Anyway, have a great October πŸ™‚

  3. I need to watch those cancer videos. It’s great to have people who remain positive in this world. I’m just happy to meet you as a blogger and enjoy our conversations with each other!

  4. I’m glad you had such a great week πŸ™‚ And that you were so affected by the videos you watched. I love it when I see people doing what they love and really appreciating it. It’s so easy to take things for granted or to just complain even when we have much to be thankful for!

  5. Glad to hear you had a good week. Thank you for sharing about the videos and how they touched you. I think sometimes we forget that there are people out there worse off than us who are making the best of a bad situation. Hope you had another good week!

  6. I try very hard to live life to the fullest and only fill it with positive energy, I try very hard to not let things get to me because you never know what someone else is dealing with.
The friends to lovers is another one of my favorite genres! I need to check out that list to add to my TBR! πŸ™‚

Have a great week, Geybie! Happy Reading! ox

  7. Oh Renee at Addicted to Romance just posted about Raze and I have put it on my TBR. I will have to check out your review!
Enjoy your books and have a great week Geybie!!

  8. aww I cannot even begin to image how hard it is to watch those videos πŸ™ it’s been 3 years since my granddad passed away from cancer, it’s difficult.
Overall, your reading seems to be going great. Glad to hear you are enjoying yourself <3

  9. Glad it’s been such a good week. I find that I can lose hours when I start watching YouTube so I try to limit it or steer clear. I am so excited for Without Merit! I can’t wait to come home from the office on Tuesday and find my copy waiting for me. πŸ™‚

  11. Geybie! You almost made me tear up there for second. You are right we are should all be living life to the fullest. I am trying this new thing where for every negative/complaint I speak, I voice three positives to that person. No one notices but me and it has made me so aware of how much I complain. I have little to complain about next to someone batteling cancer!
I have heard really good things about Without Merit, I hope you enjoy it too. I read one of her books and I can totally see why she is so popular. I hope you enjoy all of your new reads. Have a good week and happy reading!

    • Oh wow, it’s awesome!! I need to practice it. It’s easy to complain to every single thing instead of being grateful. I’m struggling in this area. Be positive is HARD. I need to do what you do. Thanks for sharing. ❀️
Yay, I can’t wait to read it. She’s one of my favorite authors. 😁

  12. I’m glad you had such a good week this week! Living life to the fullest can be so difficult, especially when you get bogged down by so many little things but it’s always worth it. I’ve been working on focusing on being more positive, and being a natural pessimistic person it has really opened my eyes to how much I wasn’t enjoying just because I let a little thing get to me.

I hope this week is a good one as well!

  13. Always good to get perspective on what’s important. Reading has seen me through some really tough times in the past decade. I’m so grateful that I love to read. Have a good week!

  14. You are right about living life to the fullest – and I know what you mean about your blog bringing you lots of joy. I find being in touch with fellow book lovers all over the world a huge comfort:). I hope the coming week is a good one for you – and thank you for your kind words of sympathy.x

  15. Scandalous AND Raze???? Wow, you picked two amazing books.

I don’t think I could watch videos of terminal cancer patients – you are one brave soul. But I can imagine after watching those videos, the importance of living your life to the fullest is on the forefront of everyone’s mind.

I have Without Merit on my tbr but I’m not 100% sure. I’ll wait and read a few more reviews before I’ll pick it up. πŸ˜€

    Wonderful post as always!!!

  16. Awww…. Exes with Benefits sounds so sweet!! Love hearing about your quiet time for inspiration – that can be so hard to find. Hope you have a great week ahead πŸ™‚

  17. Yes, Cancer patients can be so brave and inspiring. Your new titles are new to me authors. The Raze cover really looks interesting.
    Happy Reading!

  18. I’m glad that you had a great weekend full with inspiration! I’m always such a big fan of the friends to lovers trope, so I will definitely be checking out some of the recommendations the you received!

  19. Drangonfly

Glad to hear you had a great week! I wish I could watch the videos you mention but.. can’t to close to home! Glad you enjoy them at a different emotional level. Blogging makes me very happy as well. πŸ˜€

  20. Sounds like your weekend was next to perfect last weekend! Also you are very inspiring <3

I've just popped over to the Angsty Romance list. It's a tough one for me as a lot of YA romance is angsty but I've chosen the top ones in my list (I think!).

Hope you've been having another wonderful week!
