GBB Weekly Recap

Hello, guys, how are you? I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I had a great week and am currently enjoying the weekend, mostly because of podcasts. It has been my latest obsession besides reading and animals. I’m not a movie addict, so most of my free time spent on reading. These last few weeks I have been binge-listening to awesome podcasts about blogging and general topics. I’m planning on writing about it later this week.

Are you a fan of podcasts? What are your favorites? Please share in the comment. I’m curious.

Last week on the blog:

Unloved by Kate Regnery New Adult (College Romance)

“Recommend Me Books” Feature:

When I started this feature more than two months ago I didn’t expect it would continue until this month. This has been beyond my expectations and I cannot thank you all enough for your support and participation. This feature has not only been for me but for others–readers who don’t blog and fellow bloggers. If you haven’t yet, please check out these posts below and recommend me your favorites if you haven’t yet.

The latest one has been posted. Please, check it out and recommend me your favorites.

What I Am Currently Reading And Planning To Read (New Books):

I got two ARCs, Unloved by Katy Regnery and The Outpost by Devney Perry, from the publishers and am currently reading The Outpost. OMG guys, it is AWESOME. I am 40% into the story and cannot put it down. I hope you’ll give it a try someday when it is live on November 7.

Unloved by Katy Regnery The Outpost (Jamison Valley Series) by Devney Perry

The Link-Up:

I’m linking up to The Sunday Post at Caffeinated Book Reviewer, Stacking The Shelves by Team Tynga’s Reviews, Mailbox Monday, and Book Date.

I’m a fulltime reader who can’t live without books especially romance novels. In addition to books, I love animals, music, and dance shows. I hope you find your next read through my reviews and lists of recommendations. You can recommend me your favorites as well by leaving a comment on my ‘Recommend Me Books’ posts or check them out for awesome recommendations.

I’ve got a few podcasts I’ve been wanting to try. Just need to find time. A good one can be so relaxing/ fun though!

Have a great rest of the weekend!

  2. I haven’t started the OUTPOST yet but it’s on my tbr shelf for this week. How was Unloved? I think I read a couple of her books. I’ve seen Unloved all over the place, it looks and sounds great.

  3. I’ve recently booked a few of my authors on a podcast sponsored by Wooden Pants called The Daily Author. They interview authors, and share deets about books.Enjoy your new books my friend!

  4. Any podcasts you can recommend? I love them and am always on the look out for new ones. I like to listen when I’m walking.

  5. I want to listen to podcasts, but I have this awful habit of my mind wandering off. I can’t just sit and listen to something, because I feel like I’m wasting time, but if I do anything else I just get distracted 🙁

The Outpost sounds interesting, and I like the cover too!

  6. I was never a big podcast listener, but I did have a favorite back in the day, Hi My Name is Mark, which was hosted by Mark Hoppus from Blink182. He then had a TV show on Fuse. I throughly enjoyed both.

  7. Glad you had a great week 🙂 I basically don’t know where my week disappeared 😀 but I have done *some* reading. So that’s good!
And nope, I don’t really listen to podcasts. If I have time to listen, I’ll listen to my ARCs read back to me by an app 🙂 efficient xD I think I’m too impatient for podcasts anyway! Haha.
Have a great week, Geybie 🙂

  8. Oh I love podcasts. I really only listen to true crime and wrongful conviction type podcasts though. However, if you are invested, start with Serial. If you like that, I can lead you down the rabbit hole for sure!
    Have a great week!

  9. I have heard a few podcasts – but I can’t write or even perform reasonably mindless admin when they are on, so my listening time is necessarily limited. Have you sampled Emma and Peter Newman’s awesome Tea and Jeopardy? It is very funny – but the humour is quirky and Brit-based. They interview well-known authors, mostly within the speculative fiction genres and as they are interviewing them, some very dangerous events inevitably take place… Have a great week and take care:) My Sunday Post – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2017/10/15/sunday-post-15th-october-2017/

  10. I’d definitely like to listen to more podcasts. But I just never seem to find any good ones. Are there podcasts about blogging? Wow.. Those I would love to listen to.
The Outpost looks and sound like a great read. Good to hear you’re loving it.
Have a great week and happy reading!

  11. I have been really enjoying the “Recommend Me” feature and have used it to add several books to my TBR list! It’s also really nice knowing there’s a good resource for the next time I’m in the mood for a certain type of book. I used to leverage the Goodreads lists but lately they’ve been a little meh 🙂 Thank you for hosting it Geybie and enjoy the podcasts! <3 🙂

  12. I started listening to podcasts to help increase my attention span so I could give audio books a try.

I listened to The Presidential podcast and even though it was history it was a lot of fun. Now I listen to Myths & Legends and Stuff You Should Know Podcasts and I jump around listening to the podcasts on Amazon that come with Prime since there’s a nice variety on there.

    For What It’s Worth

    • Oh glad to hear. I’ll check them out. I’m always looking forward to new podcast recs. Thanks for sharing, Karen. 😁❤️

    • I’ll make an article about it, Tanya. There are lots of great things for us bloggers to learn via podcasts. Anyway, Unloved is a good read. The reviews have been great so far. Glad that you’ll give it a try. 😁❤️

  13. Your “Recommend Me …” posts are what sent me over to discover your site. I have just kinda stuck around ever since. that series of posts was a brilliant idea. Who knows, maybe you will get me into podcasts too? I am looking forward to reading about your favs. Have a great week!

    • Thank you so much, Karen. I’ll make a special post relating to my favorite podcasts that I highly recommend to all bloggers this week. I hope you’ll like it. Podcasts are so entertaining. Trust me. 😁❤️

Have a wonderful week too, Karen.

  14. Glad your loving the podcasts! I don’t think I’ve ever listened to one. I’m afraid they wouldn’t work for me since I’m not an auditory learner and would prob just zone out lol, but I’m curious about some and might give one a try some day. Have a great week 🙂

  15. I enjoy a couple of book podcasts and a couple of quilting ones and I like Happier and Happier in Hollywood is fun too. Have a great reading week.

    • Unfortunately it’s not my favorite but I hope you’ll give it a try. You might like it more than I did. The reviews so far have been great. 😊

  16. I’m so glad you’ve kept up the Recommend Me feature – I’ve been really enjoying the lists although I’ve had to be very tough on my TBR pile while looking at all the great lists!!

I can’t say I’ve really listened to any podcasts… I’m really trying harder with audio books though.

Hope you have a great week!

  17. Kathy Martin

I’m not familiar with the books you are reading but they look good. I haven’t listed to many podcasts. I’m not good at getting information or even paying attention to audio inputs. My brain doesn’t seem to be wired that way. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  18. I love podcasts! They make my morning commute that much more enjoyable 🙂 I love listening to Dear Hank and John a comedy podcast where they (try to) answer questions sent in by listeners. I also love Note to Self, which is a podcast about technology and the modern world.

  19. The Outpost looks/sounds good. I see it is the same author as The Lucky Heart. I may have to check this author’s work.
I don’t have a lot of time for podcasts but sometimes they are fun. Hope you have a great week. Happy Reading!.

  20. Haven’t listened to any podcasts since College. With my schedule right now, I don’t think I could accommodate 🙁 Have a great week Geybie 😉

    • Thank you, honey. I have the same problem with you. Time is my biggest enemies. I feel like I always never have enough time. 🙈😁

  21. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

Oh I’ve loved podcasted stories. They are the best, and if you get the right production, you’ll get multi-voices to help differentiate everyone with sound effects too. So awesome. I listen to a few discussion podcasts, but not many as I want to talk with them while listening. lol.

    Have a great week!

  22. I always say I want to start listening to podcasts, but I haven’t. I mean, I’ve listened to maybe one and a half, but haven’t gotten into any. Hope you have another good week!

    • Thank you. I hope you have a wonderful week too. A friend recommended a podcast to me but I hesitated first. I didn’t think I would even finish it. Now, I’m a podcast junkie. Hehe 🙈😁
